About Engayge
Engayge Social Network Inc. is a nonprofit helping the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies find safe spaces, trusted resources, and connection—online and in real life.
Discover why we existAt the center of our work is Engayge, a free social networking and resource app designed specifically with the LGBTQIA+ community in mind.
Engayge brings community connection, trusted resources, affirming businesses and services, and opportunities to build friendships together in one place.
Our work extends beyond the digital experience through real-world events that celebrate inclusivity, diversity, connection, and queer joy.
“For many LGBTQIA+ individuals, safety and belonging are not guaranteed—they are searched for.”
Everyday decisions, like where to go, who to trust, or how to show up, can carry real risk.
Despite progress, many spaces still fall short. Existing platforms were not built with our community in mind, leaving people to navigate safety, connection, and identity largely on their own.
Engayge exists to change that.
Everyone deserves spaces where they feel respected, supported, and free to be themselves. By centering lived experiences, community insight, and real-world impact, we are creating more than connections—we are helping build a safer, stronger, and more visible community.
LGBTQIA+ people of all identities and backgrounds—and allies committed to safer, more inclusive communities.
Engayge supports people who have been part of the community for decades, those who are newly out or exploring their identity, and anyone looking for friendship, connection, or a place where they feel safe and welcome.
Access can be especially challenging in rural or underserved areas, where local LGBTQIA+ resources may be limited, and for people seeking connection beyond traditional social or dating platforms.
We work with LGBTQIA+-affirming businesses, nonprofits, community organizations, and partners that create welcoming spaces, provide resources, host inclusive events, and strengthen the communities we serve.
Headquartered in Massachusetts, our digital platform serves LGBTQIA+ people and allies across the United States while maintaining a strong commitment to local communities.
Our community-vetted business and service directory, often described as a “queer Yelp.” Users rate and review spaces based on how affirming, inclusive, and safe they felt.
A way to build meaningful friendships through shared interests, experiences, and values.
A centralized collection of LGBTQIA+ information, services, organizations, and support.
Inclusive events that carry online connection beyond the screen and celebrate diversity, belonging, and queer joy.
By bringing resources, affirming businesses and services, community connection, and real-world experiences together, Engayge is creating a more connected community where people can find the support they need.
In this future, queer communities are empowering, connection-driven spaces accessible to all.

“What if LGBTQIA+ people had a social platform that was actually built for us?”
Existing platforms allow LGBTQIA+ communities to exist, but they were never designed around our unique needs.
Affirming businesses can be difficult to verify. Events are scattered across countless pages. Trusted resources can be hard to find when needed most. And genuine friendship beyond dating apps can be surprisingly difficult—especially for people new to an area, coming out later in life, or looking for sober, platonic, or identity-specific connection.
Engayge was created to change that.
Engayge launches as a for-profit platform with the goal of creating a more inclusive and connected community.
With early development led by Kansas City-based Programmatis, multiple versions of the Engayge app reach the app stores.
Sky joins as Chief Branding Officer and helps shape Engayge’s voice, vision, brand, and direction.
Engayge begins its intentional transition to a nonprofit organization, better reflecting its community-first purpose.
Anne and Rose join the development team, bringing renewed clarity and momentum to a stronger, more user-friendly Engayge.
What started as a question has grown into a mission shared by a small but mighty team with one vision—a safer, more connected, and more affirming world for the LGBTQIA+ community and its allies.
We are not just building an app. We are building something designed to truly serve our community. And this is only the beginning.
